Who is Fabricmatcher?
Fabricmatcher is the inspirational collaboration between the husband and wife design team, Damian and Sarah Fielke. Sarah (a passionate quilter and crafter, and part owner of Material Obsession) and Damian (a career business and new product development expert) joined forces to help develop a crafting community, where sewers and quilters from around the world, are able to make better design decisions on how they use color and fabric to suit their own lifestyle. They have developed innovative color and matching tools to help you choose and match fabric to your projects and inspiration images and patterns.

Our fabric
Moda Fabrics has been in the quilting and fabric industry since 1975 and are constantly striving to bring you the latest and greatest in both our fabrics and other quilting and home products. Moda currently has independent designers as well as an in-house design staff bringing you some of the hottest new lines of fabrics and home product available in the industry. All our fabrics is 100% Cotton and machine washable.
Are the fabric images accurate and to scale? Color and texture are very important in the selection of item and we display their pictures in the best possible way. Sizing is equally important and we try to as accurately portray scaled images as supplied. We have worked hard to ensure the pattern and fabrics scales work together to give you the best representation of a pattern matched to fabric. However, images and fabrics real will never match exactly. Please do not try to match thread to these pictures.
Our patterns
We have worked closely with designers to best represent their patterns online. We have the fabric requirements matched to the closest 1/8 yard the fabric requirements for each pattern. We have also looked at the safe side of 1/8 yard so you will probably get more fabric than you need but it will leave you some overages incase you make any mistakes when cutting.
Pattern Designers... We are open to publishing any original designs from our fabricmatcher users. If you would like your patterns published on our site please contact us by email to discuss. We are always looking for new and exciting patterns for our customers. Patterns must be the crafters own original work, not taken from another pattern.
Shopping List
Our shopping list is very straight forward. When you add a project to your shopping list, the pattern and fabric will be together in the list. If you add separate fabrics or patterns they will be shown separately.
What are the fabric requirements for patterns? All fabric requirements for patterns are calculated automatically by the shopping list. If you are not to sure whether you have saved the project twice into the shopping list, clear the amount of fabric in the cart to zero, update the shopping cart and then re-save the project to shopping cart.
